Training Camps

We will be running two residential Training Camps for players selected at the trials.

The camp will give an insight into life training as a professional footballer and provide an ideal environment, not only to prepare for the Gothia Cup, but also to develop the players’ sporting ability and life skills.

By working with top UEFA and FA Coaches and training alongside other talented Prep School players in a professional and developmental environment, the players will work on their physical, mental, social, and technical abilities and attributes.

Season 2024/24 Easter Training Camp dates:

Camp 1 – Monday 7th to Wednesday 9th April 2025

Camp 2 – Monday 14th to Wednesday 16th April 2025

Players will only need to attend one camp. Their selected camp can be seen on their Team page from November onwards (found by typing their surname into the search bar above).

The itinerary for the 2025 camps has not been finalised yet but previous camps have included:

  • Sports Science Team who will conduct group sessions and individual screenings with each player to identify injury prevention and to enhance athletic performance.
  • Sessions with Great British Athletes to develop running style, speed and acceleration.
  • A freestyle workshop
  • Yoga sessions
  • Workshops conducted by an FA qualified Football Psychologist looking at developing ‘ mental fitness’. Topics will include relaxation techniques, use of visualisation and imagery.
  • Highly qualified and experienced coaches
  • Specialist goalkeeping sessions with UEFA qualified goalkeeping coaches including the Arsenal Academy Goalkeeping Coach

“I just wanted to thank you for what sounded like a brilliant camp! Sam has not stopped talking about all the footie he did, how great the food was, how cool the pool was and what fun he had with his Gothia mates!” Debs Thomas, parent –

“Just a quick note to thank you and your team for last weekend. Freddie loved it and talks of little else. The event was brilliantly organised and Freddie wishes it could all happen again this weekend.” William England, parent
